yao is an actor and theatre director of Chinese and Filipino descent. He is most well-known for his work in Singapore’s theatre scene, which include leading roles in Tribes (2015), Romeo & Juliet (2016) and This Is What Happens To Pretty Girls (2019). He made his film debut as the lead in Tiong Bahru Social Club (2020). yao is currently doing a Master’s degree at the Yale School of Drama and will graduate in 2023.
Pam Oei is an award-winning actor and director with over a hundred stage, television and film credits to her name. A frequent collaborator of the Wild Rice theatre company, she directed the musicals The Emperor’s New Clothes (2015) and Mama White Snake (2017). As an actor, Oei is well-known as a founding member of the popular cabaret trio Dim Sum Dollies. She is the only actor in the history of the Life! Theatre Awards to win both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in the same year for performances in 2007’s Titoudao and Shanghai Blues. Her recent stage credits include Pangdemonium’s This Is What Happens To Pretty Girls (2019) and Wild Rice’s Tartuffe (2022), and the ground-breaking LGBTQ one-woman show Faghag (2021). Oei’s feature film credits include Peggy Su! (1997), Forever Fever (1997), The Blue Mansion (2009) and UNLUCKY PLAZA (2014). She is the lead singer of the funk rock band Ugly in the Morning, whose music videos Riot City: An Odyssey (2015) and You Can’t Touch Me Now (2019) were directed by Ken Kwek under his production company, Eko Pictures.
Ching Shu Yi is an actor, singer, dancer and host. Born in Singapore but raised in China, Ching returned to her home country to complete a degree in musical theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts. Since 2016, she has appeared in TV series such as Mediacorp’s Reunion, Paddles Up and Mount Emily, and plays including Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove, A Dream Under the Southern Bough (Toy Factory) and First Fleet (Nine Years Theatre). #LookAtMe marks her first performance in a feature film.
Adrian Pang is an award-winning stage and screen actor with over a hundred credits to his name. His UK theatre credits include Hair, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Comedy of Errors; The Magic Fundoshi (Best Comedy at the London Fringe Theatre Awards), The Mens Womb, A Christmas Carol, Tormented, The Circles of Paradise, One for the Road, Sleeping Beauty, New Territories, Take Away, Leaving Turnpike Lane and Privates on Parade. His UK television work includes The Fragile Heart, Lovejoy, Arabian Nights, Happiness, Bugs, Call Red, Taggart, The Knock, Trauma and The Bill. His feature film credits include Nightwatch (1995), Peggy Su! (1997), B.U.S.T.E.D (1998), Spy Game (2001), I Do I Do (2005), Gone Shopping (2007), The Carrot Cake Conversations (2008), The Blue Mansion (2009), Dance Dance Dragon (2012), Bait (2012), UNLUCKY PLAZA (2014), Blackhat (2015) and Republic of Food (2017). His numerous appearances on Asian network and cable television include Mediacorp Channel 5’s The Pupil and HBO-Viu’s The Bridge. Pang and his wife, Tracie, are co-artistic directors of the critically-acclaimed Pangdemonium Theatre Company. He has won the Life! Theatre Awards’ Best Actor prize four times for his work in The Dresser, Much Ado About Nothing, Rabbit Hole and The LKY Musical.
Janice Koh is an award-winning film, television and stage actress. Her performances as lawyer Angela Ang on Channel 5’s The Pupil earned her a Best Actress nomination at the Asian Television Awards 2010. Her recent film credits include UNLUCKY PLAZA (2014), Hitman: Agent 47 (2015), The Offering (2016) and the Warner Bros comedy Crazy Rich Asians (2018). A veteran of the stage, Koh has performed in more than 50 theatre productions in Singapore and internationally. In 2003, she won the Life! Theatre Award for Best Actress for her performance in David Auburn's Proof. She has been nominated for the award a subsequent four times, for Loo Zihan’s With/Out, Alfian Sa’at’s Optic Trilogy, Pangdemonium’s production of Rabbit Hole, as well as Ovidia Yu’s Hitting (On) Women. From 2011 to 2014, Koh served as a Nominated Member of Parliament, with a focus on championing the arts and developing the creative industries in Singapore.
Rishi Budhrani is a comedian, actor and host. In 2012, he won the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition and performed at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York. Since then he has been invited to perform in Sydney, Melbourne, India, Sri Lanka and China. As an actor, Budhrani has appeared in productions by Singapore’s top theatre companies, including Cook a Pot of Curry (Wild Rice), The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Pangdemonium) and We Are Like This Only (HuM Theatre).
Hossan Leong is an actor, host, musician and comedian who has been awarded the Chevalier De L’ordre Des Arts Des Lettres. He is one of Singapore’s most loved and popular entertainers and is affectionately known as ‘Singapore Boy’. Apart from frequent appearances on Channel 5, he has performed in numerous stage shows including Dim Sum Dollies: The History of Singapore and The Curious Case of the Missing Peranakan Treasure. His feature film credits include I Not Stupid (2002), Just Follow Law (2007) and The Fortune Handbook (2017).
Oon Shu An is a film, television and stage actor. A graduate of the BA Acting program at LASALLE College of the Arts, she is a founding member of the theatre group TheatreStrays and currently an Associate Artist with Checkpoint Theatre. Her sell-out one woman show, the multi-platform production '#UnicornMoment' was nominated for Best Original Script at Singapore’s Life! Theatre Awards in 2014. She has also been nominated for Best Actress for her roles in Pangdemonium’s Chinglish (2016) and The Esplanade’s production of Mergers and Accusations (2019). Oon’s television credits include HBO Asia’s The Kitchen Musical, Netflix’s Marco Polo and HOOQ’s How to be a Good Girl. Her feature film credits include Rubbers (2014), Our Sister Mambo (2015) and Republic of Food (2017).
FAKKAH FUZZ is a television personality and stand-up comedian whose work is well-known throughout Singapore and Malaysia. A spot at 2019’s Melbourne’s International Comedy Festival saw him cement a decade of laugh-out-loud style – and swag – after Unmarried, his sold-out show at The Esplanade’s 2000-seater theatre. In 2020, he started the More Better podcast series. #LookAtMe marks his first outing as a dramatic actor in a feature film.
Ghafir studied Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University and received his MFA in Acting from Florida State University’s Asolo Conservatory. As a theatre director, his credits include This is Our Youth (York Arena Theatre, 2007), Cinta Sang Arnab (Kakiseni Arts Festival, 2013) and the award-winning Ombak! (2014). More recently, he directed The Language Archive (Best of 2016 at the Boh Cameronian Arts Awards) and Armour & Skin (George Town Festival, 2019) In 2018, he was the Associate Director for Enfiniti’s blockbuster OlaBola The Musical at Istana Budaya. As an actor, he has appeared in over thirty productions by major companies in Singapore and Malaysia. Credits include Rubber Girl on the Loose, Temple, Medea (Cake Theatrical); Hotel, Merdeka, Another Country, Public Enemy (Wild Rice); Lifespan of a Fact, Guards at the Taj, Disgraced (Singapore Rertortory Theatre); Civilised, Those Who Can’t, Teach (The Necessary Stage); Lord of the Flies (Blank Space Theatre); The Good, The Bad, and the Sholay (Checkpoint Theatre). Raj and the End of Tragedy, Gold Rain and Hailstones, White Rabbit Red Rabbit, The Baltimore Waltz, Gross Indecency (Instant Café); Nama Kamu Atas Perahu (Manifesto Poetico); 7-10 (Five Arts Centre) and Hamlet (Actors Studio). Ghafir’s film credits include K. Rajagopal’s Sanjay and Garang Picture’s Cuak, for which he received acting nominations at the Kuala Lumpur Film Critics Award and the Malaysian Film Festival.
Andrew Marko is an actor, voice-over artist and musician. He is also an SRT-Wolftrap teaching artist specializing in integrated arts learning in early childhood education. Notable theatre credits include: The Emperor’s New Clothes, Mama White Snake, Peter Pan in Serangoon Gardens (Wild Rice); RENT, Urinetown, Peter and the Starcatcher (Pangdemonium); Rubber Girl is On The Loose, Electra (Cake Theatre); Peter and the Starcatcher (Pangdemonium) and Every Brilliant Thing (Bhumi Collective). He won Best Actor at the 2016 Life! Theatre Awards for his role as autistic teenager ‘Joshua’ in Pangdemonium’s production of Deanna Jent’s Falling.
Sivakumar Palakrishnan is a Singaporean actor, producer and director. A household name amongst Indian audiences for his numerous roles on the Tamil Vasantham channel, Palakrishnan is also a stalwart of English-language dramas and comedies such as Channel 5’s Tanglin and The Noose. In 2018, he appeared in HBO Asia’s horror series Folklore. His feature film credits include A Yellow Bird (2016) and Repossession (2019).
SHANE MARDJUKI is the evil laughter in your head at the end of the movie. He co-created the story for #LookAtMe and is involved throughout.
